Status meetings should be held at least:

A. Once a year
B. Once a week
C. Once a day
D. As little as possible

I think it's D - as little as possible. Status meeting is an indicator of poor project management. When project manager can't collect information formally (by reports, emails, centralized ERP, etc.) - he/she has to organize status meetings.
