Critical Path | Time Management
A project has three critical paths. Which of the following BEST describes how this affects the project?
A. It makes it easier to manage.
B. It increases the project risk.
C. It requires more people.
D. It makes it more expensive.
Vadim (2½years ago):
My answer is B. It increases the project risk. Three critical paths make probability of "pushing release date" risk triple higher.
george (2½years ago):
Agree, answer is B
A: I think it's more difficult to manage, since we have three chains of activities that should be controlled very aggressively, comparing to one in a usual scenario.
C: Critical path has nothing to do with the amount of resources (people)
D: Yes, because the management will be more difficult. But this is not the BEST explanation.
B: Schedule end depends on three chains of activities. The risk of failure is much higher.
angel (10months ago):
B, risk risk risk. a delay in any one of the 3 paths will delay the project.
